Book Review: Duncan’s Bride (Patterson-Cannon Family #1) – Linda Howard

Rating: 5/5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Review:

It’s been ages since I last read a Linda Howard romance. I’d forgotten how good she is.

Reese Duncan’s first wife—who longed for city life and not the solitude and hard work of ranch life—destroyed his world when she ripped him off in the divorce. Despite the failure of his first marriage, Reese still wanted children and a family. So he decided to look for a wife in the most clinical way possible—by putting an ad in the paper.

What he didn’t count on was being attracted to another city woman.

Yet Madelyn was as different from his first wife as the sun from the moon. She had a warm and strong heart and was determined to make it work with Reese.

It was highly entertaining to watch the two of them butt heads together. I read this book in one sitting and enjoyed it so much it’s now one of my favorite contemporary romances.

Blurb: Reese wanted a wife. Someone to have children with, someone to help rebuild his ranch, someone uncomplicated, and very different from his first wife, the woman who’d destroyed his life. Now he had Madelyn–sophisticated, citified, willing to herd cattle, keep house and start a family. The only thing she asked for in return was love–one thing Reese couldn’t guarantee.

I'm a die-hard Book Dragon and also an advanced introvert. My blog's about books, books and more books. (yep, that was easy) I might, from time to time, write about life and its vagaries. I like taking pictures of books and doing origami and cross-stitch.
