Racism is still a gigantic issue nowadays but back then, it was a horrible time for people of color and ethnicity. How to survive at such a time without your soul dying a slow, excruciating death at the atrocious and humiliating treatment? Book Review: My Lady Jane (The Lady Janies #1) – Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, Jodi Meadows

Review:

I’d heard a lot of good things about this book and from the synopsis, the story looked like it’d be a lot of fun. At first, it was. I enjoyed the character introductions and I found Jane quite cool. What book dragon wouldn’t relate to another?

I really wanted to like GiffordΒ (call him G) but he was just kind of dumb? I hated how he just went along with everything and didn’t seem to have a mind of his own. I started to find Jane annoying as well. I’m all for independence but lack of common sense just irritates me.
