I’ll be the first to admit that though I loved the overall story of Year One and the plot-line, the writing felt blunt and lacked that special depth which makes NR’s stories unforgettable. Not so with Of Blood and Bone. OBAB was way better than Year One.
OBAB was kind of a limbo, a transition for Fallon from a teenager to who she’s supposed to turn into. A time for Fallon to grow and learn and become. A time of family and training and friendship. A time of doubts and questioning, to learn what you’re fighting for. No quest is ever complete without those painful lessons, isn’t it? To go through the emotional rollercoaster of being a teen destined to lead others and save the world. A heavy burden to bear.
