Monthly Ephemerals – April 2023

Hola, Book Dragons, 4th month already, can you believe it? How is everyone doing? Did April start well for you? Any new obsessions, ahem, ephemerals you’ve collected?

I don’t have much going on for April except for my long list of ARCs that I really, really need to finish.

My Latest Ephemeral

I wasn’t planning on watching any new series but I ended up getting sucked into watching this Kdrama, Touch Your Heart, which was released in 2019. The actor, Lee Dong-wook, is one of my favorite Korean actors.

Anticipated New Book Releases

The one book I’m highly anticipating for April is Silver In The Bone. It was such a good book when I read the ARC that I want the 2nd book already!

These are the other April book releases I’m looking forward to:

What about you guys? What are you excited about in April?

Stay tuned.

Here are the 3 rules for the blog meme:
1 – Do the post at the start of every month.
2 – Feature your latest short-lived obsessions, ahem, ephemerals. (Beloved books, TV shows, movies, Kdramas, a good news – anything you’re anticipating.)
3 – Credit the creator of this tag (yours truly 😉 ) & have fun!

Monthly Ephemerals – March 2023

Hola, Book Dragons, how are ya’all doing? Have you planned your March potentials yet?

My Latest Ephemeral

I just watched the first part of this Kdrama, The Glory and I’m all in. The second part will be released on Mar 10 and I just hope all the episodes are released at once otherwise it’s gonna be hell waiting for one episode every week lol.

Anticipated New Book Releases

I don’t see many anticipated releases for March though I hope these two turn out to be good:

What about you guys? What are you excited for in March?

Stay tuned.

Monthly Ephemerals – February 2023

Hola, Book Dragons, February 1st! One down, 2nd practically over even as it’s started, 10 more months to go. “From the moment we are born, we begin to die.” Ain’t that the truth! I’m in a morbid mood lol. Blame it on my current obsession to read as many Dean Koontz books as I can.

My Latest Ephemeral

No fun Kdramas for me this month, but I’m stoked about Teen Wolf: The Movie (2023). After all the rumors, I can’t believe the movie’s actually been released. The trailer looks pretty amazing and I can’t wait to watch it.

Monthly Ephemerals – January 2023

Hola, Book Dragons, Happy New Year 2023! Wish you all the strength and courage to get through another year of the pandemic aftermath.

Here’s to hoping for better days. Have you started your planner yet? Do you have any specific goals you want to achieve this year? I wish you all the best!

My Latest Ephemeral

My latest Ephemeral for January remains Alchemy of Soul Part 2 – Light and Shadow. If current info on the Kdrama about it being only 10 episodes remains true, then only 2 episodes are left and that’s next weekend. Will Jang Uk and Naksu finally be together, or will this ending break my heart again?

Monthly Ephemerals – December 2022

Hola, Book Dragons, how did it get to be December? It feels like it snuck up on me. Are you guys feeling like Rip Van Winkle too?

I started this blog meme back in April 2021 but then life got in the way and I wasn’t able to be as active. I went back and deleted the previous posts for this meme in case anyone looks for them coz I wasn’t too happy about the format and banner. But the purpose behind this blog meme hasn’t changed – to feature your current ephemerals. Well, Dec 2022 seems like a good time to make a new start. Lol, I know, right? The irony.

My Latest Ephemeral

I broke my own rule of not starting new series until they were complete and now I’m paying for it. I started watching the new Kdrama, Reborn Rich and it’s torture waiting for 2 episodes every weekend.

Anticipated New Book Releases

Sweep of the Heart comes out on 13 Dec 2022. Yay!

What about you guys? What are you excited about this last month of 2022?

Stay tuned.

Here’s to 2022

Hey you guys, first of all, Happy New Year. Though it doesn’t look like a promising start with Omicron cases rising, right? Gotta keep going on, despite the anxiety and fears, one day at a time.

A new year, a new Me? I wish it were as easy as snapping my fingers or pressing a button. 2021 was a screwed-up year for me and I wonder if 2022 is gonna head down the same drain. I’ve always been a big believer in being able to change oneself but it feels like I’m fighting against the tide. All I can do is keep trying, keep fighting. Hopefully, better planning, right?

So the blog is the first order of business. Let’s see how I do with that. Here are my anticipated releases for this brand new year 2022:

Anticipated Book Releases for 2022

01 Mar 2022 – Phantom Game – Christine Feehan

15 Mar 2022 – Eve of Destruction – Sherrilyn Kenyon

12 Apr 2022 – Shadow Fallen – Sherrilyn Kenyon

New Book Releases – 25 May 2021

Hola, Book Dragons. Post #12 of May. Who doesn’t love book release days? Got 2 new releases for you guys today. *drumrolls*

1. Legacy – Nora Roberts

Synopsis:
The #1 New York Times bestselling author presents a new novel of a mother and a daughter, of ambition and romance, and of a traumatic past reawakened by a terrifying threat…
Adrian Rizzo was seven when she met her father for the first time. That was the day he nearly killed her—before her mother, Lina, stepped in.
Soon after, Adrian was dropped off at her grandparents’ house in Maryland, where she spent a long summer drinking lemonade, playing with dogs, making a new best friend—and developing the stirrings of a crush on her friend’s ten-year-old brother. Lina, meanwhile, traveled the country promoting her fitness brand and turning it into a billion-dollar business. There was no point in dwelling on the past.
A decade later, Adrian has created her own line of yoga and workout videos, following in Lina’s footsteps but intent on maintaining creative control. And she’s just as cool-headed and ambitious as her mother. They aren’t close, but they’re cordial—as long as neither crosses the other.
But while Lina dismisses the death threats that Adrian starts getting as a routine part of her daughter’s growing celebrity, Adrian can’t help but find the vicious rhymes unsettling. Year after year, they keep arriving—the postmarks changing, but the menacing tone the same. They continue after she returns to Maryland and becomes reacquainted with Raylan, her childhood crush, all grown up and as gorgeously green-eyed as ever. Sometimes it even seems like the terrifying messages are indeed routine, like nothing will come of them. Until the murders start, and the escalation begins…

2. Shadow Storm (Shadow Riders #6) – Christine Feehan

Synopsis:
Danger inspires fierce passion when a new threat targets Chicago’s Ferraro crime family in this novel in Christine Feehan’s New York Times bestselling series.
A long-simmering feud between two families comes to a head in this gripping novel in Christine Feehan’s New York Times bestselling Shadow Riders series.
As the youngest member of the Ferraro family, Emmanuelle has watched each of her brothers find happiness in love while her own heart was shattered by a lover’s betrayal. For two years she’s stayed as far away from Valentino Saldi as possible—until she learns that he’s been shot during a hostile takeover of his family’s territory.
Emme’s first instinct is to call her brother Stefano for help, and soon the entire Ferraro clan arrives to bring Val back from the brink of death and protect the Saldis from further attack. With one choice Emme has re-exposed herself to Val’s intoxicating pull and dragged her family into the Saldis’ private war.
A deadly storm is brewing, and only time will tell who survives…

Oh, by the way, these are the UK covers. I can’t wait to read Legacy (fangirl scream) but for Shadow Storm I was hoping for another guy for Emme, not Val who was such an asshole to her. Man, I need to vent on this.

What about you guys? Any new releases you were anticipating today?

New Book Releases – 04 May 2021

Hola, Book Dragons. Got 2 cool new releases for you guys today. Who’s excited for… *drumrolls*

Luck of the Titanic – Stacey Lee

God, how gorgeous is this cover? I can’t wait to read this book!

Synopsis:
From the critically acclaimed author of The Downstairs Girl comes the richly imagined story of Valora and Jamie Luck, twin British – Chinese acrobats traveling aboard the Titanic on its ill fated maiden voyage.
Southampton, 1912: Seventeen-year-old British-Chinese Valora Luck has quit her job and smuggled herself aboard the Titanic with two goals in mind: to reunite with her twin brother Jamie–her only family now that both their parents are dead–and to convince a part-owner of the Ringling Brothers Circus to take the twins on as acrobats. Quick-thinking Val talks her way into opulent firstclass accommodations and finds Jamie with a group of fellow Chinese laborers in third class. But in the rigidly stratified world of the luxury liner, Val’s ruse can only last so long, and after two long years apart, it’s unclear if Jamie even wants the life Val proposes. Then, one moonless night in the North Atlantic, the unthinkable happens–the supposedly unsinkable ship is dealt a fatal blow–and Val and her companions suddenly find themselves in a race to survive.
Stacey Lee, master of historical fiction, brings a fresh perspective to an infamous tragedy, loosely inspired by the recently uncovered account of six Titanic survivors of Chinese descent.

Sunkissed – Kasie West

Synopsis:
A lighthearted and swoony contemporary YA romance by fan-favorite author Kasie West about a girl who finds that a summer spent at a family resort isn’t as bad as she imagined…and that falling in love is filled with heartache, laughter, and surprises!
After being betrayed by her best friend, Avery is hoping for a picture-perfect summer. Too bad her parents have dragged her and her sister to a remote family camp for the entire summer. And that’s not even the worst part. Avery also has to deal with no internet, a cute but off-limits staff member, and an always-in-her-face sister.
But what starts as a disaster turns into a whirlwind summer romance as Avery embarks on an unexpected journey to figure out what she truly wants and who she wants to be.
