New Book Releases – 19 Apr 2022

Hola, Book Dragons, new book releases today!

1. Gossamer in the Darkness (Fantasyland #5.5) – Kristen Ashley

Synopsis:
Their engagement was set when they were children. Loren Copeland, the rich and handsome Marquess of Remington, would marry Maxine Dawes, the stunning daughter of the Count of Derryman. It’s a power match. The perfect alliance for each house.
However, the Count has been keeping secret a childhood injury that means Maxine can never marry. He’s done this as he searches for a miracle so this marriage can take place. He needs the influence such an alliance would give him, and he’ll stop at nothing to have it.
The time has come. There could be no more excuses. No more delays. The marriage has to happen, or the contract will be broken.
When all seems lost, the Count finds his miracle: There’s a parallel universe where his daughter has a twin. He must find her, bring her to his world and force her to make the Marquess fall in love with her.
And this, he does.

2. Part of Your World – Abby Jimenez

Synopsis:
After a wild bet, gourmet grilled-cheese sandwich, and cuddle with a baby goat, Alexis Montgomery has had her world turned upside down. The cause: Daniel Grant, a ridiculously hot carpenter who’s ten years younger than her and as casual as they come—the complete opposite of sophisticated city-girl Alexis. And yet their chemistry is undeniable.
While her ultra-wealthy parents want her to carry on the family legacy of world-renowned surgeons, Alexis doesn’t need glory or fame. She’s fine with being a “mere” ER doctor. And every minute she spends with Daniel and the tight-knit town where he lives, she’s discovering just what’s really important. Yet letting their relationship become anything more than a short-term fling would mean turning her back on her family and giving up the opportunity to help thousands of people.
Bringing Daniel into her world is impossible, and yet she can’t just give up the joy she’s found with him either. With so many differences between them, how can Alexis possibly choose between her world and his?

3. With and Without You – Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund-Broka

Synopsis:
Wibbroka is back with another swoony YA–this time tackling long-distance relationships, in a novel based on their own romantic history.
If high school seniors Siena and Patrick were a superlative, they’d be the Couple Most Likely to Marry. They’ve been dating for three solid years, and everyone agrees they’re perfect for each other. But with college on the horizon, Siena begins to wonder whether staying together is the best idea. Does she really want to be tied down during possibly the most transformative years of her life? So she makes a decision to break up with Patrick, convincing herself it’s for the best. Before she can say the words, though, he beats her to the punch: his family is moving out of state. Caught off guard by the news, Siena agrees to stay with Patrick, believing their relationship will naturally fizzle out with time and distance. But over a series of visits throughout the school year, Siena begins to see a different side of Patrick–one that has her falling in love with him all over again.

What about you guys? Any new releases you’re anticipating today?

Music Monday – 18 Apr 2022 – Count On Me (Somebody) – Tonic

Hola, dragons, how’s it going? I’m feeling pretty darn tired and unwell. My allergies have been acting up and it’s really annoying. Hope you guys are having better health and a better time than me.

I was in the mood for an oldie but goldie and this is definitely one of my favorite songs from the soundtrack of the original Charmed series (1998).

Music Monday is hosted by Drew @ The Tattooed Book Geek. Be sure to check out his awesome blog.

Stay tuned.
