Review:

I first came across Debbie Tungโ€™s work on Book Love. Her drawings were so much fun and as an introvert, I could relate to a lot of them. I found a kinship to a lot of her scenes which depict introvert tendencies and bookish quirks.

Happily Ever After & Everything In Between illustrates the everyday scenes of introvert Debbie Tungโ€™s married life with her extrovert husband. The drawings were excellent, with the facial expressions spot on. The dialogues and scenes were quirky and witty. I found myself chuckling and laughing out loud at some of the scenes.

A coupleโ€™s life is not easy but when you find someone who understands you, who gets you, even the bad days are worth it. Happily Ever After & Everything In Between makes you hope you can achieve that kind of contentment. I loved this book just as much as Book Love.

Synopsis: From the bestselling author of Quiet Girl in a Noisy World and Book Love comes a funny and adorable collection of comics about married life, specifically an introvert married to an extrovert! Debbie Tungโ€™s tender, funny, and utterly relatable comics are the perfect gift for anyone in a relationship. The comics in Happily Ever After & Everything In Between may be inspired by Debbie Tungโ€™s marriage to her extrovert husband, but any couple can relate to increasingly relaxed anniversaries, slowly seeing more of each otherโ€™s weird sides, or the punishment for taking care of your sick loved one (catching whatever they had). Happily Ever After humorously captures what everyday love looks likeโ€”both the sweet moments and the mundaneโ€”making it a fitting gift for weddings, anniversaries, and Valentineโ€™s Day.

Author:

I'm a die-hard bibliophile and I'm also an introvert. My blog's about books, books and more books. (yep, that was easy) I might, from time to time, write about life and its vagaries. I like taking pictures of books and doing origami.
