Review:

Do you read manga? If no, why not? πŸ˜‰ You really should. In my opinion, it’s one of the best remedies for stress. Omae Watashi no Koto Suki Daro is the short story of a strong-headed girl in high school, Nahoko Misaki, who believes a certain boy, Aikawa, has feelings for her. However, though they’ve known each other for 3 years, Aikawa has yet to make a move. So Nahoko decides to take matters in her own hands and create situations to give Aikawa the ‘opportunity’ to confess. Yes, I know, we girls are sneaky and underhanded lol.

This manga was absolutely hilarious. I chuckled my way through each scene, laughing out loud at Nahoko’s frustration as Aikawa seemed completely impervious to her and her attempts to get him to confess he likes her. At times, even I found myself doubting whether he really liked her or not.

The one thing that’s critical about mangas is whether the author/artist has been able to correctly depict the characters’ reactions on their faces. And Izumi Tsubaki did it to perfection.

The side characters added value to the story, especially the two best friends and their opinions on Nahoko’s venture. The drawings were well done and a lot of fun. It’s been ages since I last read manga and this one-shot reminded me just how much I love it.

Blurb: It’s a hilarious one shot about the beginning of a relationship between a bullish but clueless heroine and a shy boy!

I'm a die-hard bibliophile and I'm also an introvert. My blog's about books, books and more books. (yep, that was easy) I might, from time to time, write about life and its vagaries. I like taking pictures of books and doing origami.
