Rating: 4/5 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Genre: Graphic novel
Review:
I love mangas so it wasn’t a surprise that I also gravitated towards graphic novels. I enjoy the comics posted on Instagram especially those by @loading.artist. So when a friend recommended Book Love to me, a graphic book dedicated to the idiosyncrasies of book dragons, how could I not read it?
If you haven’t read mangas or graphic novels before, the first thing you should know is they’re fast, enjoyable reads. As to how to rate them, I do so on the following three bases:
1 – Quality of drawings
2 – Storyline
3 – Dialogues
For Book Love, it didn’t have a specific storyline but was mostly made up of scenes of the everyday life of a book dragon. There were scenes where I lingered, feeling a certain kinship and affinity to them because I often act that way. The scenes were totally spot on and depicted a book lover’s quirks to perfection. One of my favorite scenes:
The drawings were really good and the dialogue was witty and quirky, perfect to showcase how we book dragons feel about books. In my opinion, every book lover needs a copy of this book.
I love manga and this looks super cute! Would you recommend the ebook version?

Yes! I read the ebook version. I usually read on tablets and my e-reader – so I read mangas and graphic novels on my tablet. The drawings are bigger that way 😀

Oh cool I’ve only ever read physical copies, but that sounds like a good plus!

For me it’s the opposite – I’ve only ever read e-copies lol. Have you tried the manga Happy Café? It’s also known as Shiawasse Kissa Sanchoume. It’s one of my favorite mangas ever. 😍

Nope! I’ve only read super mainstream mangas like Sailor Moon, Tokyo Mew Mew, Tokyo Ghoul, etc. I’ll have to check those out! 🤗
