The K-Pop Book Tag

For any of you who haven’t heard of K-Pop, it’s popular music in the Korean language. I figure music is such an expression of self, we shouldn’t stick to just one language. 😉 I love K-Pop and KDramas and when I found this tag on Steph’s blog Lost: Purple Quill, it looked like so much fun I really wanted to do it. Thanks, Steph, and a big thanks to Andrea for the original tag 🙂

1. BTS– A Book Everyone Knows About

I’ll have to go with Harry Potter. Is there anyone out there who hasn’t heard of this amazing series which revolutionized the world of magic? (Aww, you poor muggles, you have no idea what you’re missing). The Bloomsbury covers are fantastic.

2. EXO– Favourite Companion Novel

I didn’t really know what a Companion Novel was so I went searching for the definition. Companion novels are stories based in the same world, where the main character for one book could be the supporting character in the other book and vice-versa. These novels don’t have to be read in order. They can be read stand-alone. Mainly, all these characters co-exist in the same world but feature in other stories. I’ll have to go with these two books by Kasie West and the Six of Crows duology, companion to the Grisha trilogy:

3. NU’EST– Name A Book/ Series/ Trilogy That Doesn’t Get The Attention You Think It Deserves

The series that first comes to mind, is the Lunatic Life series by Sharon Sala. It’s a good series for teens and yet, very few have heard of it.

4. ASTRO– A Book That Gave You A Happy Feeling While Reading

There are a lot of books which gave me a Happy Feeling while reading but I’ll stick with one of my latest re-reads for now 🙂 I loved seeing Iona and Boyle together.

5. MONSTA X– A Book Containing A Diverse Cast Of Characters

The In Death series by J.D. Robb :), one of my favorite series of all time 🙂

6. A.C.E– A Favourite Recent Release

Straight-up, Dark In Death. The previous book (Secrets ID) in the series was a disappointment and when I read this one, I was so happy, I smiled all through it. It put into words my love of books and I got a glimpse of all my favorite characters. It was awesome!

7. BLACKPINK– A Book That Sticks Out From The Rest Of Its Genre

Six of Crows duology! When I started Six of Crows, I was amazed by its originality and how apart it was from other books. To say it simply, I fell in love with both books.

8. SEVENTEEN–A Book With Multiple POVs

I’ve read a lot of books with multiple POVs but since I’m reading the David Gemmell books right now, I’ll stick with them 🙂

9. BIGBANG– A Modern Classic

I haven’t read a modern classic but I’ll go with one of my favorite classics instead 🙂

10. SISTAR– A Series You Wish Never Ended

Ah, the Mediator series by Meg Cabot. Susannah and Jesse forever.

11. RAIN– Favourite Standalone

Once again, sticking to one is super hard. I haven’t met a bookworm yet who can swear to having only one favorite book. So for now, I’ll go with The Obsession by Nora Roberts. It features a hero who plays a mean guitar and is a bookworm at the same time. Dream material!
